After reading the official rules of the contest, this paragraph came to my attention: "must not contain the trademarks, designs, copyrighted works, intellectual property, names, likenesses or images of any person or entity, otherwise infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks privacy, publicity or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity (par 5)". This concerned me, as the Deathbat is considered copyrighted material, and is to be an integral part of our video.
This is a formal request to use the Deathbat in our submission. We would really appreciate your permission because we believe our video will be one of the winners of the contest, and would hate to lose on a legal technicality.
